How We’ll Align
As a Senior Data and AI Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data and AI governance programs for enterprise clients. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to develop policies, processes, and frameworks that ensure data quality, compliance, and usability. Your expertise will be critical in helping organizations maximize the value of their data assets while mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
Conduct data governance assessments and maturity evaluations for clients.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability structures.
Establish data quality standards and implement data monitoring and remediation processes.
Support compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) and industry standards.
Design and lead data governance workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Work with clients to implement systems such as data cataloging, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) solutions.
Drive adoption of data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar.
Assist in developing and socializing data governance roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to integrate governance practices into data pipelines and platforms.
Provide thought leadership in data governance by contributing to whitepapers, presentations, and industry discussions.
Job requirements
5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, etc.).
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and compliance strategies.
Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in consulting, advising clients, and delivering data governance solutions.
Ability to work independently and lead initiatives within complex organizations.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Certifications in data governance (e.g., DCAM, CDMP, Collibra Ranger) are advantageous.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Salary/Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $140,000-$160,000 year depending on years of experience. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the HIKE2 total compensation package, which includes the below:
