HIKE2 has an immediate opening for a a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer with a strong background in data engineering, hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, and proficiency in creating Paginated Reports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (including Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouses, and Pipelines).
Develop and publish Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder and integrate them into Power BI Service.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable BI solutions.
Optimize data models for performance and usability in Power BI.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage Power BI workspace permissions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data refreshes, report performance, and data quality issues.
Stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric updates and best practices.
Job requirements
Strong experience in data engineering concepts and tools (ETL/ELT, data lakes, data warehouses).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks).
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
Experience with Paginated Reports and Power BI Report Builder.
Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
Databricks Experience a Plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to lead projects and deliverables and communicate effectively with leaders
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments.
Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging.
Understanding of business processes in domains such as finance, sales, or operations.
The annual base salary range is $125,000-$145,000k /year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the HIKE2. total compensation package, which includes the below:
